Empire Style, Extending Dining Table with Ebonised Pillars and Brass Details
An outstanding piece, likely made in France in the early 20th Century. It comprises of a large table top that is supported at each end by 4 ebonised pillars with brass collars. These then sit upon detailed look claw feet. The table is supplied with 2 additional leaves that are fitted at each end to extend the table further.
The table is in very good condition with a couple of marks commensurate with use to its surface. The majority of the marks blend in with the grain of the wood so it makes it quite difficult to see them. However, there is one wider scratch which has removed the tops varnish slightly and that is more noticeable that the others. There is additionally some knocks to one of the longer edges, likely made whilst it was in storage in its lifetime.
The table measures 200cm L x 100cm W x 75cm H. With the additional leaves, the table will measure 280cm L.
